Police have launched a criminal case regarding the attack against www.ilur.am reporter Hakob Karapetyan on April 23 during a Republican Party campaign rally in the Nor Nork district of Yerevan.

Karapetyan was punched in the face and had his camera stolen while covering the rally for the May 5 municipal elections.

The charges relate to preventing a reporter from carrying out their journalistic duties.
