Local Election Committee Prez: People with Disabilities Shouldn't Vote
Anahit Nersisyan, president of the local election committee at the 5/2 polling station in Davtashen told an international monitor that as of 1pm there had been fourteen cases where voters argued that they needed assistance in casting their ballots.
“One said he was illiterate, another said he had trouble seeing. But that’s no reason to allow someone else to step in and help them,” Nersisyan said.
She also said that she believed that voters with disabilities shouldn’t be allowed to vote in general.
