PM Sargsyan Requests Aid of Prosecutor General in Off-Shore Financial Flap
RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today requested that the Prosector General Office look into a recent expose by Hetq which shows that he is registered as one of the shareholders of an off-shore company called Wlispera Holdings Limited.
PM Sargsyan has refuted any connection to the company and had promised that he would take the matter to the Prosecutor’s Office for clarification.
Sargsyan says he wants to get to the bottom as to who registered the company in Cyprus and included his name.
Hetq broke the news about Sargsyan’s alleged connection to the company in a May 29 piece entitled “Cyprus Troika: Who 'Stripped' Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan of His Assets?”
Also implicated are Primate of the Ararat Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan and Ashot Sukiasyan.
