Istanbul Protesters Dedicate Street to Hrant Dink
Demonstrators occupying Istanbul’s Gezi Park yesterday symbolically named a street in honor of murdered Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink.
The Hrant Dink Street connects the Peace Square with the children’s playground.
Activists have brandished banners reading “Buradayız Ahparig!” (We are here, brother), the slogan chosen for the commemoration of the 6th anniversary of Dink’s murder earlier this year.
