Archbishop Kjoyan Denies Allegations of Being Linked to "Off-Shore Scandal"
The Ararat Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church has issued a statement refuting recent press allegations that Locum Tenens Archbishop Navasard Kjoyan has a stake in an off-shore company or is involved in the diamond business.
On May 29, Hetq published an investigative piece linking Kjoyan with Wlispera Holding Ltd., a Cyprus registered company involved in the redistribution of millions of dollars of bank loans.
Hetq was able to obtain copies of Wlispera’s Cyprus registry document that also included the name of RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan as another shareholder.
Prime Minister Sargsyan has also refuted any connection to the off-shore company.
