Modern Robotics Laboratory Launched at the Ayb High School

A new robotics laboratory was inaugurated at the Ayb High School on June 26.

The inauguration of the laboratory was attended by the Ayb School management, General Manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian, the robotics team headed by their teacher Vazgen Gabrielyan as well as students interested in robotics. The sponsor of the Robotics Laboratory is VivaCell-MTS. For this project, VivaCell-MTS spent more than 14 million AMD.

The Ayb High School’s robotics team, headed by teacher Vazgen Gabrielyan, this year was awarded a special prize for the best theoretical solution at the Fire Fighting Home Robot contest held in Trinity College (Hartford, CT, USA). The Ayb team appeared among the top eight teams. Prior to that, the Ayb robotics team took first and second places in the Line Tracking Robot contest held within the frameworks of ArmRobotics.

It’s been several years that the Ayb Educational Foundation has been designing and launching modern subject laboratories (AybLabs) at schools in Yerevan and regions.

In 2007, Ayb opened its first physics and chemistry AybLabs at Physics-Mathematics Special School in Yerevan. Then, the computer science AybLab  in Berd and two ecology AybLabs (unique in the whole region in their form and content) in Kajaran were founded. Last year, the physics, chemistry and biology AybLabs were inaugurated  in Vagharshapat. The construction of new AybLabs in Yerevan and regional schools is underway.
