RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, embroiled in an ever-widening off-shore scandal, today met with European Court of Human Rights President Dean Spielman in Yerevan.

Sargsyan said that Armenia had made a number of legislative changes designed to fill in the gaps revealed by ECHR verdicts regarding Armenia.

PM Sargsyan argued that there are “tangible” results regarding the establishment of a civic society in Armenia and that even the political opposition has pointed to these outcomes.

Dean Spielman stated that dialogue with Armenia was important in this regard and was hopeful that during his visit such dialogue would reach a new qualitative stage.
