Prosperous Party leader Gagik Tsaroukyan stated today that while certain universities may be forced to raise tuitions, drastic hikes are unacceptable given Armenia’s present socio-economic situation.

Tsaroukyan made the comment during a meeting with Rector Vahram Arakelyan of the Yerevan State Physical Culture Institute.

“The loss of any gifted student is an unacceptable luxury for our country and the sports world,” Tsaroukyan said, adding that he would continue to financially assist the institute from his own resources.
