Development Challenges High on the Agenda of UNDP Assistant Administrator’s Visit to Armenia
Kori Udovički, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Assistant Administrator, arrives on an official two-day visit to Armenia today.
During her stay Ms. Udovički will meet with President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, as well as high-level government officials to discuss the key development challenges and the country’s main priorities for the next five to ten years, as well as the role of UNDP towards advancing national development agenda.
In her meetings Ms. Udovički, UNDP Regional Director for Europe and CIS, will highlight the relevance of UNDP’s mandate across the development spectrum – not only in governance but also in advocacy, support to inclusive and equitable growth, greening human development and peace and security.
She also plans to meet with the representatives of international donor community in Armenia to discuss the prospects of partnerships aimed at further strengthening of human development in Armenia.
