No Armenian Fatalities in Kazan Air Crash
Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Affairs has stated that no Armenians were killed or injured in the crash of the Tatarstan Airlines Boeing 737-500 in the Volga city of Kazan.
The plane crashed, killing all 44 passengers and six crew members, as the aircraft made a second attempt at landing after flying from Moscow.
For unexplained reasons, the plane landed around 150 meters (500 feet) away from the main runway at Kazan airport and then exploded, strewing debris over hundreds of meters, Russian state television said.
