The release of Andy Takakjian's first novel, The Blinding Sun of Hell, conveys a curious mix of rants and recollections, but predominantly a slice of life romp of American Angelinos with a paradoxical and unbridled Armenian in their midst, Harry Asscheekian.

Harry struggles to find a true medium, a voice of his own amongst his friends living in the creative professional fringes of Los Angeles, all of whom are reasonably successful and have developed adult middle aged lifestyles.

Harry finds himself left in the dust and ultimately resorts to hopelessly naive and childishly extreme tactics to achieve his goal and acceptance, inadvertently writing the book you are reading. 

Written in 3 days, The Blinding Sun of Hell is stylistic and loose but has enough humor and wit to carry it through. It opens the doors to, but does not quite push the boundaries to an expected limit, yet has a charm through altruism that conveys the creative desire in many people's hearts - the need to create and the courage to do so.

The inspirational point is the point and everything between the periods is beside the point is the underlying subtext.

Andy Takakjian is an American artist living and working in Los Angeles. Born in Santa Monica, he has no formal training in anything whatsoever yet has been successful as a graphic designer, artist, publisher, musician, song writer and motion picture and television industry operative. 

He is currently preparing his second novel Ask the Grave, a re-visitation of the character, Harry Asscheekian; and working on his third novel, working title - As I Die.
