Anahit Bakhshyan, a member of the “Barev Yerevan” faction in the city’s municipal council has written to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan to follow up on a report that city inspectors found past expiration date food being supplied to kindergartens.

During a Jan. 20 working session of the Yerevan Municipality, Control Department Head Armen Simonyan reported that between Jan. 13 and Jan. 20, inspectors made spot checks at 21 Yerevan kindergartens and ordered the return of daily food supplies in 38 cases.

Bakhshyan has asked the mayor to supply the names of the kindergartens inspected, the names of those in the inspection teams, and the names of those companies with contracts to supply food items to Yerevan kindergartens.
