Earthquake Jolts Syunik, Parts of Artsakh
A 5.3 magnitude earthquake was registered today 28 kilometers southeast of the Azerbaijani town of Shamakh. The quake struck at 4:04 pm local time.
The town lies 106 kilometres (66 mi) west of Baku.
Shocks were felt in Armenia’s Syunik Province and communities in Artsakh.
Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Affairs has yet to report about human casualities.
