Agarak Workers Temporarily Suspend Strike
The 1,350 workers at the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Plant out on strike as of November 5th over pending job and wage cuts unanimously voted to return to their jobs until Monday, November 10th. The Regional Mayor of Syunik had visited the plant the other day and urged the workers to temporarily return to work. Given that the General Manager of the plant Georgy Devatze and his staff have fled to Georgia it has been impossible to get any official reaction from management.
