On the occasion of the one year anniversary of the deadly events of March 1, 2008, RoA Human Rights Defender Armen Harutyunyan declared that he commiserated with the families of those who were killed at the time. "Such condemnable and tragic occurences, not characteristic of our people, must never be repeated. I pray that law enforcement officials will work more effectively and will do all in their power to expose the guilty parties and hold them responsible for their actions," stated Mr. Harutyunyan.
