HAK States that Regime Has Lost Control of its Criminal Base

HAK representative Davit Shahnazaryan stated that the recent spate of fisticuffs involving supporters of the ruling coalition's Republican Party and Prosperous Party points to the fact that the regime has lost all control over its criminal base. "This is a cause of great concern. If the regime can't control its lower and mid-level elements it merely goes to expose its true nature and inherent weakness," stated Mr. Shahnazaryan, adding that HAK has always monitored the situation during its public activities and that it doen't employ such tactics. The HAK representative said that recent encounters between the two coalition representaives don’t mean that disagreements exist within the coalition. "All of them are out to preserve power and if there are certain disagreements within the lower ranks, it can have no impact on the overall situation. They are merely attempting to allege that there is a battle going on within the coalition in order to garner votes. Yes, there are disagreements on the criminal level but these are the same forces on the political level. The coalition is one uniform force, said Mr. Shahnazaryan. Regarding the ARF, which recently pulled out of the coalition, Mr. Shahnazaryan stated that the party, throughout its entire history, has been extremist in nature and cannot be considered part of the opposition.
