Yesterday, Eleanora Manandyan and Gayaneh Yesayan, members of the "New Armenia" NGO governing board, protested outside the Foreign Affairs Ministry building in Yerevan and called for the resignation of RoA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan.
They say they are concerned with the current foreign policy of Armenia which they see as undignified and demeaning, and which has led to a drop in Armenia's worldwide reputation. They also are protesting Armenia's unresponsive attitude towards an intensified Turkish and Azerbaijani publicity campaign,
As a result, they argue that the diaspora has lost all confidence in the present Armenian government due to the regime's defeatist and ill-conceived foreign policy.
The protestors tied balloons to trees outside the building signifying, in their words, the empty statements of FM Nalbandyan that there are no preconditions in ongoing Armenian-Turkish talks.

Eleanora Manandyan said that they decided not to include others in the protest, even members of their own organization, given the repression being leveled against reporters and other activists.
The two protestors handed their letter calling for the foreign minister's resignation to ministry staff. They said they would wait ten days and would carry out other actions if FM Nalbandyan didn’t resign by then.
