Nikol Pashinyan, Opposition activist and Chief Editor of the "Haykakan Zhamanak" newsppaer, who has been in hiding since the March 1st post-presidential election violence and police crackdown of 2008, has declared that he preparing to come out into the open. In a communiqué issued on June 24, Mr. Pashinyan stated, "Presently, it wouldn’t be wise to give an exact date. All I can say is that it will be within the next month." The question remains whether the opposition firebrand will come out of hiding to participate in tomorrow's public meeting called by the HAK (Armenian National Congress).
