Heritage Party Calls on Armenian Public TV to Air Protocol Debates
Today Heritage Party MP's Armen Roustamyan and Heritage Party MP Stepan Safaryan announced that their respective parliamentary factions had officially petitioned Aleksan Haroutyunyan, who heads the Armenian Public Radio and TV Advisory Council, and Executive Directors of Armenian Public Radio and TV, Armen Amiryan and Armen Arzoumanyan, to broadcast prime-time debates regarding the recently signed Armenian-Turkish protocols that would include representatives of all parliamentary and extra-parliamentary political forces.
The petition letter sent by the two MP’s to Armenian Public Radio and TV was identical in content. It states that aside from some cursory discussion of the protocols broadcast by various stations there has been no in-depth debate of this very important matter and that it behoves Armenian Public Radio and TV to fill the gap during these last three weeks before the protocols go to parliament for ratification.
