Nikol Pashinyan Challenges Validity of Chief Prosecutor
The trial of jailed Armenian political activist Nikol Pashinyan continued today at the Shengavit District Criminal Court. Mr. Pashinyan called on Prosecuting Attorney Koryun Piloyan to recuse himself from the proceedings, arguing that he was not impartial and that he had an interest in the outcome of the trial.
Presiding Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan retired to chambers to review the motion. The trial will recommence at 2:30 p.m.
