Mary Rose Apousefian, a diaspora Armenian actress, was awarded the"Gold Medal" award by Artur Poghosyan, RA Deputy Minister of Culture, for her outstanding achievement in the theatrical arts. The Medal is the highest award bestowed by the Ministry. Ms. Apousefian has been an actress, director and writer for the past forty years and has performed on stages over the world. She is in Armenia on the occasion of the 95 anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and has staged one-woman performances of Krikor Zohrab’s "On the Road to Golgotha".
