As a result of the inactivity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the ruling coalition, a plenary session of the European Parliament has seen the adoption of resolution 2216, where the wording regarding the Karabakh-Azerbaijan conflict does not match reality and displays an obvious pro-Azerbaijan position in the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh. The assessments of resolution 2216 by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Members of Parliament from the ruling coalition have shown that the government has no control over the prevailing anti-Armenian actions being undertaken in the region and has no influence on these processes. The indifference and inactivity of the representatives of our government towards the coordinated action by Turkey and Azerbaijan will lead to a serious threat to the Armenian people in due course and could lead to irreversible losses to the territorial integrity of the two Armenian republics, to the needs of the nation as well as to the security and safety of the population living in the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result of the ineffective foreign policy of the Armenian government, the Turkey-Azerbaijan propaganda and political machine, which has been unleashed, will continue to gain new diplomatic and political victories as long as full potential of the Armenian people is not being used.  All the state structures in Armenia, political bodies in the Armenian Diaspora, social and religious organizations and the community organizations of countries with large Armenian populations must be engaged in this work. The next dangerous stage in the Turkey-Azerbaijan campaign against Armenia and Karabakh could be through PACE President and Turkish representative Mevlüt Çavusoglu, who may try to revive PACE resolution 1416, through which the committee dealing with the Nagorno-Karabakh issue will be reestablished.  The Armenian delegate to PACE does not have the authority to negotiate on behalf of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, but is nevertheless engaged in dialogue in Strasbourg with the head of the Azerbaijan delegation and Çavusoglu. In order to prevent problems and deal with the current challenges faced by Armenian statehood in international organizations, a Steering Committee needs to be formed, consisting of representatives of the corresponding standing committees of the National Assemblies of Armenia and Karabakh as well as the Foreign Ministries of these two republics. This Steering Committee will need to be accountable and present regular reports on its activities in international organizations.
