Students at the Armenian Philanthropic Academy in Calcutta, which has been at the center of attention recently, staged a protest rally today. The students are refusing to attend classes and have gathered opposite the Academy’s offices. They are protesting the expulsion of several students back to Armenia.The students have sent a letter to Catholicos Garegin II in Etchmiadzin. Manager Father Khoren Hovhannisyan has met with the students and promised that the students will not be sent back. Evidently, the students do not believe the school director for they are continuing with their protest.
