Two men have been arrested in Volgorad for brutal murder The "Pervaya Gazeta" a Volgograd newspaper, reports that two Azerbaijani men first savagely beat and then set fire to a 33 year-old Armenian by dousing him with gasoline. The Armenian had just met his killers that day. The paper reports that the Armenian had met the two Azerbaijanis in a random encounter when they approached him for cigarettes. Later, they suggested he join them to drink some beer. Not having any other plans for the evening, the Armenian agreed. The three decided to relax by the shores of the Volga. Having finished the beer, the three were about to part company when an argument erupted. Prosecutor Mikhayil Fomenko told the paper that during questioning the two Azerbaijanis could not remember what sparked the argument. Passersby came upon the Armenian, burnt but still alive. He was rushed to a nearby burn center where he died. The two alleged killers have been arrested and face up to 12 years imprisonment if found guilty.
