PACE co-rapporteur on Armenia, John Prescott met with former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan today. The two spoke about the non-implementation of PACE Resolution 1667 regarding the functioning of democratic institutions in Armenia. Attention was paid to the release of jailed political prisoners and progress in the investigation of the March 1, 2008 events. They also spoke about the verdict handed down by the European Court in favour of the A1+ TV station. Levon Zurabyan and Avetis Avagyan, representatives of the HAK Central Committee, were also present at the meeting.
