Speaking at the 66th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that in case of unlawful use of force by either side in the Karabakh conflict, Russia is ready to take all necessary measures to establish peace in the region.

Lavrov added that Moscow will continue to assist the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the road to a peaceful settlement.

"We will continue to promote additional opportunities for peaceful solution that have emerged as a result of efforts and through the mediation of Russia. We will continue to promote the peaceful solution of the conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group together with our partners - France and the United States," he said.
