Heffern Gets Ambassador Nod from U.S. Senate
Late on Monday The U.S. Senate voted unanimously to approve John Heffern’s nomination as U.S. Ambassador to Armenia.
Mr. Heffern, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, will replace Marie Yovanovitch who returned to the U.S. in June to serve as US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Northern and Central Europe.
