RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today sacked Deputy Ministers of Health Tatoul Hakobyan and Abraham Manoukyan just days after the head of government publicly lambasted certain ministries, health included, for not taking effective anti-corruption measures. At a November 4 cabinet session, Prime Minister Sargsyan gave the ministers in question a matter of days to make the necessary organizational and staff changes that would allow for a more effective anti-corruption campaign within the ministries. The two officials had handed in their resignations but this was a mere formality in the dismissal process.
