
Since its official launch on October 23, the world’s longest aerial cable car, Tatev Arms” has ferried more than 7,000 passengers to the lofty heights of Tatev Monastery in Syunik.
1,500 of the passengers have been local residents and 30% foreigners. The cable car operates seven days a week from 9:30 in the morning till around seven in the evening. The trip from start to finish takes just eleven minutes. The round trip cost 3,000 AMD and a one way, 2,000. The cable car employs 30 workers, all but one being local residents. The average income is 100,000 AMD.
