The RA government has given the go-ahead to an ambitious plan to construct a regional high altitude sports center on the shore of Lake Sevan, and had instructed the Ministry of Economics six months to draft a suitable plan of implementation in cooperation with Armenia’s State Committee for Economic Protection. The plan is to built a sports complex according to international standards and outfitted with the latest equipment that will also provide high quality health and tourist services. The center will also serve as an Olympics training base for Armenian athletes.
