New Film to Explore Armenian-Azerbaijani “Divide”

Young Armenian director Arik Manoukyan has started shooting a new film called “Interrupted Song” in Moscow. The film tells the story of an Armenian and Azerbaijani who find themselves trapped in the same underground well. Director Manoukyan uses this contrived scenario as a basis to explore the myriad of historical issues, not including the Artsakh War, that prevent a normalization of relations between the two peoples. The film is scheduled to premier next spring in Moscow.
