Republican Party sacks another government minister The ruling Republican Party of Armenia has decided to nominate Karen Karapetyan, Director of "HayRuzGazArt" for the post of Yerevan mayor, now vacant after the sacking of Gagik Beglaryan. Lawyer Hrayr Tovmasyan was also selected to succeed Gevorg Danielyan, also sacked for "ethical violations", as Minister of Justice. In another government shuffle, Minister of the Economy, Nerses Yeritsyan will be replaced by Tigran Davtyan, presently serving as the Finance Minister. The Party has nominated Central Bank Deputy Director Vache Gabrielyan as his replacement.
