The Armenian government has decided to offer a 100,000 AMD bounty for each wolf killed in the country. Yerevan claims that there has been a recent drastic rise in the native wolf population and thus the need was felt for sterner measures to be taken. According to the government’s press service, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan was swayed by the fact that Artsakh had earlier adopted a similar approach and that the wolf problem was quickly resolved there.
