Henchak Party - Armenia Faces Social Unrest

In a public statement dated yesterday, the Social Democrat Henchak Party called on Armenian citizens to rise in defense of their political and socio-economic rights if the present government fails to do so. Calling for "struggle till victory, the Henchak statement argues that the country is going to hell in a hand-basket and that the present ruling regime is to be blamed. The political party, which is not represented in the Armenian National Assembly, notes the growing unemployment and economic disparities, lack of faith in the future and continuing exodus from the country as a basis for the threat of social unrest.
