In response to an invitation made today by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan for dialog between the government and those in opposition to the pension system, the “Dem Em” movement has stated that while it welcomes the offer in principle it will continue the struggle until the pension system becomes voluntary and not mandatory.

“Dem Em”, the civic group spearheading opposition to the pension system as now constituted, says it will entertain dialog with the government only when the authorities express a willingness to remove the mandatory component from the law.

The group says that all segments of society must be present at such discussions if and when they happen.
