Responding to an anonymous tip, police today found the body of Armen Petrosyan, the owner of the Aray chain of electronics stores, slumped over the wheel of a car in an apparent suicide.

The car was found on a dirt road leading to the village of Getamech off the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

Photo-journalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that the 31 year-old businessman was found holding a pistol in his right hand and gunshot wounds to the head.

On the passenger seat of the car police found a bag full of ammo.

Shamshyan also reports that Petrosyan’s home had been the target of a criminal gang recently busted by Armenia’s police.
