
Goris Elects New Mayor
In yesterday’s mayoral election in the southern Armenian town of Goris, Vachagan Adounts came out on top with 4,732 votes (50.7%), beating out his only rival Hrayr Tsolyan who garnered 2,956 votes (38.4%).
510 ballots were deemed ineligible.
Voter turnout amounted to 50.7% of the town’s registered voters.
Elections for mayor and municipal councils took place yesterday in various communities throughout the country.
