In an obvious reaction to the public outcry regarding the two recent incidents where corporate parties were staged at the Zvartnots and Garni historical sites, the Ministry of Culture today has banned the renting out of all historical-cultural sites and museums under its purview until it can draft a new set of protocols on such matters.

In an earlier move to stem the tide of public outrage, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan sacked the director of the Zvartnots historical site and severely reprimanded another for renting it out.
