Armenia Premier League champs Banants lost to FC Santa Coloma (Andorra) by a score of 1-0 in a first qualifying round game yesterday in the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase.

Andorra scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute of play.

FC Santa Coloma is considered one of the best teams to play in Andorra in recent years. Banants has a UEFA team ranking of 434 as of 2013.

Yesterday’s game was played at the Comunal d’Andorra la Vella stadium (capacity 1,800) near the Andorran capital.

The second leg of the match will be played in Yerevan on July 8.
