
Armenian Government Spends $49,000 to Cull 200 Wolves
The Armenian government today decided to allocate 20 million AMD (US$49,000) in compensation to the Ministry of Nature Protection for carrying out a program designed to cull the wolf population in Armenia by 200.
The ministry alleges that the culling is being conducted so as to maintain an ecological balance of the wolf population.
