
Two Armenian Soldiers Killed Repulsing Azerbaijani Assault in Tavoush
The spokesperson for Armenia’s Ministry of Defense says two Armenian soldiers were killed while repelling an Azerbaijani assault this morning along the Tavoush border near the town of Berd.
On his Facebook page, Artzroun Hovhannisyan writes that Lieutenant Karen Galstyan and private Artak Sargsyan were killed during a thirty minute firefight that repulsed the Azerbaijani forces that had attacked on several fronts.
Hovhannisyan writes that the Azerbaijani forces suffered casualties as well.
He writes that Azerbaijan attempted to infiltrate the Artsakh Line of Contact on several fronts as well.
The Artskah Defense Army (ADA), in a separate communique, reports that its forces repelled the Azerbaijani incursion attempts without suffering any casualties.
The ADA claims that three Azerbaijani military personnel were killed according to preliminary accounts.
