
Government Line: Founding Parliament Members Were Planning Public Disturbances on April 24
Armenia’s Investigations Committee, the country’s top investigative body, says that four members of the Founding Parliament have been arrested on charges of planning to foment public disturbances during events marking April 24 in Yerevan.
The names of those arrested are Varuzhan Avetisyan, Pavel Maukyan, Gevorg Safaryan and Jirair Sefilyan.
The statement says that the Police and National Security Service will continue their joint investigation to uncover the planning of such crimes.
