Chougaszyan Prevented from Flying to Bulgaria for EuroDIG 2015
Armenia’s Founding Parliament (FP) opposition political movement says that Armenian authorities prevented its president, Garegin Chougaszyan, from flying to Bulgaria to participate in EuroDIG 2015 - an open platform for informal and inclusive discussion and exchange on public policy issues related to Internet Governance (IG) between stakeholders from all over Europe.
Chougaszyan was arrested and subsequently charged, along with other FP members, of planning to foment civil unrest last April 24. All charged were released on their own recognizance on condition that they not leave the country pending their trial.
The FP states that Chougaszyan will present a talk at the conference via Skype or a similar technology.
