Armenians Stage Demonstration Outside Glendale Armenian Consulate

A small group of Armenians staged a demonstration outside Armenia’s Consulate General in Glendale, California.

Some carried signs in support of the protests now taking place in Yerevan and other cities in Armenia calling for the nullification of a recently approved electricity rate increase.

Other banners called for the removal of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and freedom for political prisoners in Armenia.

It should be noted that the “No to Plunder” protests in Armenia are targeting the electricity issue.

Easy there fellow. Your aggressive attitude win't get you anywhere. I wholeheartedly am on the Sonig's side. She has a valid point.

Մարդիկ իրավունք ունեն հավաքվելու և իրենք են որոշողը թե ինչ և ինչպես անեն, Գլենդելում նեռարյալ: Երևում է որ Սերժիկին սիրող էլ կա: Դա ձեր իրավունքն է: Բայց չեք կարող բռնանալ այլ մարդկանց իրավունքին որոնք կարծում են որ Սերժը հանցագործ է և իր տեղը բանտում է: Իմացեք որ այդպիսի տեսակետ էլ կա: Իսկ ներգախթելու համար այդքան պրիմիտիվ մտածող մարդիկ չեն ել հասկանում որ այո ներգախթը Հայաստանի համար մեկ խնդիրն է, բայց մարդիկ չեն ներգախթելու քանի կա Սեռժի քրէա-օլիգարխիկ համակարգը: Իսկ Սփյուռքում շատերն են ուզում ներգախթել, դրա համար ել պայքարում են որ Սերժիկը վերջանա..... Ուրեմն.....

To Sonig....who are you telling to be careful; the protesters in Glendale or those in Armenia? You talk about a foreign country intervening in Armenia....Yes, it's called Russia!!!!!What planet are you living on?

Carefull demonstrators. You do not want to create a condition like Syria in Armenia. President Sarkisian has been a good president and is very political. The next thing you know is foreign country will intervene for their own advantage. No Armenian should rebel against another. Electricity issue can be handled separately

Նախ՝ յօդուածի վերնագիրը թերի է: Թէ այս ցուցարարները Գլենդելից են թէ չէ, Աստուած գիտի: Իսկ արդեօք «միացել են՚ Երեւանի ցոյցերին հարցական է: Նկարների մէջ մի քանի կարգախօս են բարձրաձայնում - Սերժիկ հեռացիր , Ազատութիւն քաղբանտարկեալներին, Ո՛չ բռնապետութեանը, եը այլն: Այսպիսի պաստարներ չկան Երեւանի ցոյցին: Կարծես քանի որ Գլենդելի ցուցարարներւը չեն թալանւում, իրենց քաղաքական օրակարգը աւելի լայն է:

These 30-40 people should understand that the protests in Yerevan have a simple objective - roll back the electricity rate increase. Regime change - which prominently appears on their signs - is another matter entirely. Maybe they should get informed about the facts on the ground first. Or else, which is unlikely, they should relocate to Armenia and put their slogans to the test.
