Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan was on hand today at the reopening of an open air produce market in downtown Yerevan on Mesrop Mashtots Avenue.

The market is outfitted with 120 stalls for growers to display their wares – fruits, vegetables, honey, preserves – to Yerevan consumers.

To spur such green markets, the ministry has provided sellers with free tents, tables and scales.
