At a press conference today in Yerevan, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan cited figures from the National Statistical Service claiming that from January – July of this year Armenia’s gross agricultural output had increased by 14.8% over the same period in 2014.

The horticultural sector increased by 28.6% and animal husbandry by 4.2%.

The minister also boasted that another 50,000 hectares of arable land was made available between 2010 and 2014.
