Armenian Refugee Families From Azerbaijan to Receive Ownership of Residences
The Armenian government today adopted a decision that would grant ownership rights to Armenian refugees who fled Azerbaijan between 1988 and 1992, and have since received Armenian citizenship, for the residences they now occupy.
For years, many such refugee families have lived in dormitory units that were never theirs.
The decision will allow people, now living in a dormitory in the town of Ararat, to own their residences.
The government has already drawn up a list of people who will take ownership of their abodes in Shirak and Armavir provinces.
