Court Verifies Paternity of Kids Who Moved To Armenia From Mongolia
Armenia’s Gegharkounik Provincial Court yesterday issued a decision verifying that two children who moved to Armenia from Mongolia four years ago were the biological offspring of Hrahat Yeritsyan.
Fourteen years ago, in Mongolia, Hrahat married his wife Bayandolgor (Bayina) Oyunchimeg.
Their two children, daughter Varsik and son Arshak were born there.
Yesterday’s court ruling states that the two children can now bear the surname Yeritsyan, allowing them to apply for Armenian citizenship after the decision takes effect in one month.
Hetq wrote about the family in a June 2015 article entitled, From Mongolia to Antaramej: The Difficult Road to Becoming a Citizen of Armenia.
