Foreign Charitable Aid to Armenia Drops $11 Million Since 2011

Armenia received US$49.3 million in charitable aid in 2015 according to the country’s National Statistical Service (NSS).

More than half (52.3%) was in the form of chemicals and related products.

27.9% of all charitable aid last year came from European Union countries, 1.3% from the CIS, and the remaining 70.8% from other nations: USA – 21.2%/$10.461 million, Switzerland – 20.8%/$10.255 million, China – 10.5%/$5.193 million, Italy – 9.2%/$4.527 million, India – 3.9%/$1.927 million.

Foreign charitable aid to Armenia has dropped over the past five years. Here are the numbers:

2011 – $60.3 million

2012 - $58.5 million

2013 - $57.8 milion

2014 - $50.1 million

2015 - $49.3 million
