On April 2, 2016 Azerbaijan attacked the region of Nagarno-Karabakh, and in the following days fighting on both sides intensified looming towards an all-out war. Heavy casualties were reported until a cease fire was announce three days later on April 5. The following photos are a glimpse of Armenian soldiers, in the villages of Martakert, Mataghis and Talish, that they defended.
